I am requesting the stream environmental variable data to date for all 46 variables included in the direct gradient analysis presented in Table 4-6 on pg 90 (4-30) of the Department’s report “Biological Assessments of Iowa’s Wadeable Streams 2004” for all sampling events included in the BioNet database to date.

The 46 variables are: surface drainage area, stream gradient, stream sinuosity, wetted channel width, maximum water depth, average thalweg depth, average water temperature, channel width:depth, stream flow, % clay, % silt, % sand, % soil/bank, total % fine sediment, % gravel, % cobble, % boulder, total % coarse sediment, % pool habitat, % run habitat, % riffle habitat, low coarse substrate embed., moderate coarse substrate embed., high coarse substrate embed., no riffles with cobble/boulder substrate, amount of woody debris, % instream cover, bank condition rating, % bare stream bank, % stream shading, shade variability, buffer strip condition rating, herbaceous riparian vegetation, mixed woody and herb. riparian vegetation, woody riparian vegetation, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, dissolved solids, suspended solids, nitrite+nitrate-nitrogen, total phosphorus, turbidity, total hardness, specific conductance, atrazine.
